Sophie Plowden is the author of Jack Dash and the Magic Feather, Jack Dash and the Summer Blizzard and Jack Dash and the Great Custard Cake-Off, a comedy adventure series for medium-sized children. 

Sophie's writing career began in the middle of the night, when a boy called Jack appeared in her brain. Despite several warnings and a phone call to his mother, he has remained in there ever since. 

​Sophie lives in London with her husband and son. She divides her time between her family, her laptop and her fridge.
